Raftar is an oil on canvas, and it moves the way its title does: fast, forward, and without much looking. A figure runs, blindfolded, toward goals that never come any closer. Every stride is full of purpose. None of it lands. You may recognise the feeling before you've finished looking. The subject is a human one, and it asks something of you quietly: where are you running, and can you see it? Part of the Handcrafted Works collection, this canvas suits a wall you pass often, where it can catch you mid-stride, much like its subject.
