Niku Guleria

As an artist, I seek to leave one drop of my creative existence in the unfathomable ocean of Creativity. My work is a way of voicing concern about the disturbing norms of an existentially challenged, techno-centric society. I was first drawn to art in 1995 under Bengali lecturer Vishwaranjan Chaudhari at Fine Arts College, Agartala, and trained formally from 2004 to 2012 at Triveni Kala Sangam under Rameshwar Baroota. My solo exhibitions include Abstract Realities: The New Semantics at Bikaner House, New Delhi (2026), The Struggle is On at Shridharani Gallery (2016), Comfort Zone at Lalit Kala Akademi (2013), Pratispardha at Punjab Kala Bhavan, Chandigarh (2012), and Crisis of Identity at Triveni Art Gallery (2010). My paintings have also featured in numerous group and international shows across India and abroad, from the Asian Humanities and Art Exhibition in Guangzhou and the international AAMA exhibition to presentations at NGMA, AIFACS, Jawahar Kala Kendra, and Rashtrapati Bhawan.
