Shilpnidhi — an Artiure initiative
Select Size:
Most blue pottery starts from blue. This one starts from saffron - a full field of warm yellow, glazed edge to edge, with turquoise and red flowers scattered across it the way blossom falls in an actual meadow, unevenly and all the better for it. Yellow grounds are unforgiving in this craft: the glaze shows every hesitation, so only a steady hand takes them on. Nine inches square, it is the extrovert of the set. Put it where the light lands first in the morning - a breakfast table, a kitchen ledge - and the room starts the day already warm.
