This base is turned on a lathe from one seasoned block - no joins, no veneer - then cut in khokerdar, the undercut relief style, so the vine appears to lift away from the wood behind it. Trailing grapevine, leaves and a perched bird: the valley's motif for abundance and coming home. Centre-bored for a cord and ready for an E27 or B22 holder. Made to order in about a week, because nobody keeps carving like this sitting on a shelf.
