Handcrafted by Ram Gopal Blue Pottery

Select Size:
The peacock fills the plate almost completely - body in deep blue and green, tail opened into a fan of eyes that runs right to the rim, all of it set against warm amber rather than the usual blue. It is the most demanding subject in the repertoire, because every eye in the tail has to be built up in three colours and none of them can be corrected once laid. Traditional Jaipur blue pottery: quartz-bodied, hand-painted, single low firing. This one does not share a wall easily. Give it space, or give it a shelf of its own, and let it be the thing people notice first.
